Year 7 Book Club

We're starting a new book club especially for Year 7s on Thursday 13th November. It will be after school in the LRC each week, from 3-4pm. There are still spaces available if you'd like to join, so just let Miss Richards know if you're interested. We'll be doing a range of activities and games, taking part in some book awards, and might even manage the occasional trip out of school!

Booked Up

Booked Up is a scheme that gives a free book to all Year 7 pupils in England. At Venerable Bede the choosing and ordering of books has been organised by Miss Richards in the LRC. Students could choose one of 12 great titles, and we've just heard that the books should be arriving any day now!

New fiction for May half term

We've just had the following books arrive. They're now on the system and ready to borrow. First come first served of course. Don't forget you can reserve them if someone has beaten you to it!
